Local PEO Members Seeking 2021 Nominations
/The PEO members below looking for the required number of nominations to stand as candidates in the upcoming 2021 council elections. To nominate them to represent the Lambton Chapter, please complete the nomination form and email to the respective nominee. Names are listed alphabetically.
Susan MacFarlane - Western Region Councillor
Susan has a Ph.D. in Civil (Environmental) Engineering from the University of Toronto and a M.Sc. and B.Sc.(Eng) in Biological (Environmental) Engineering from the University of Guelph. For the past 25 years, Susan has worked in the areas of water, waste, stormwater, wastewater and contaminated sites assessment and management as an environmental engineer and project manager. Her most recent position was General Manager of Lambton Area Water Supply System (LAWSS) from 2010 to 2018 where she managed capital projects and oversaw the operations and maintenance of the water treatment plant, booster stations and distribution system. Prior to her work at LAWSS, Susan worked for a variety of environmental consulting companies on projects across Canada. Susan was on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Municipal Water Association (OMWA) from 2016 until she left LAWSS in 2018.
Susan is looking for nominations to become PEO’s Western Region Councillor. She understands that a recent regulatory performance review at the PEO shone a light on many issues within the current PEO structure and operation. These issues are currently being addressed and Susan would like to volunteer her time to assist with this important work.
